“Don't be put off by the fact it's a buffet. Food was great (and didn't get sick, so no food safety concerns at this place). Super satisfied by all the flavors. One of the better South Asian restaurants I've been to in the US and I really do enjoy having such a wide selection in a buffet serve yourself style. Tons of locals who looked like they might have immigrated so you have a pretty good idea that they didn't dumb it down for the American palate. Thanks!”

“This is my ultimate favorite Indian food restaurant! Has been for more than 4 years! And still is - the flavors are perfect ! I have dined-in and taken out - as well as done a few catering orders - always makes my tummy and I happy! Always get two entres and a bread, with one appetizer, for my partner and I, and there is usually leftover for lunch too… Thank you for the love put into the food- its amazing!”

“I attended couple of events in recent past, so booked to celebrate occasion with family and friends (total guest 170) this labor day weekend. Everything was perfect - the food, the atmosphere and the service. All dishes were yummy esp. gobi manchurian, chicken malai boti and chicken biryani. This new management is improvising day by day. Definitely recommend.”

“Delicious! The food was great- we went during a weird time in the afternoon and it was pretty empty. The palak paneer had good flavor and was spicy but the kofta butter masala was really special - i haven't really seen this other places and it was amazing! It smelled too good to get a picture when it first arrived, but here's a Pic after Round 1 😉”

“India Gate I believe has recently renovated their restaurant. We tried Lunch today. Surprise is they have buffet. Have to agree the good taste was heavenly excellent. Ambiance, complementary on water bottles. Clean floor. More cube sofa arrangements. On top of it food menu items were so carefully prepared. Navratna kurma was Un beatable taste. Coleslaw salad, dal, mango pulpe sweet, corn appetite. It was quite an experience. Everyone has throughly enjoyed the taste. Keep doing well India Gate”

“I really enjoyed the Babai Idly, Vada, Mysore Bonda, and Dosa here. Every item was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. After visiting twice this week, I can confidently say the breakfast dishes are consistently tasty. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great South Indian breakfast — I’ll definitely be coming back!”

“We had a very delicious food at India gate restaurant, all food are rich in flavor. The chicken Biryani and Tandoori chicken were amazing and not too spicy and the nan bread was mind blowing delicious. We did ask for a butter chicken and they cooked it fresh for us. “The food has so much variety, but it’s a special treat to get South Indian food in Austin. The dosas are great, crispy on one side and tender on the other. I daydream about the masala dosa. The samosa fillings are particularly tasty. I think their bjaji (bajji?) is incredible. The chicken korma was a treat, but we were so stuffed we had to bring some home. The service is attentive and friendly, and we received some good advice to balance our order.”
